Summer has arrived, and with it comes the beautiful month of June! As the days get longer and the weather gets warmer, I hope this newsletter finds you well and ready to enjoy all the season has to offer. Below are some Northern Virginia real estate statistics and here is my take on them: The number of home sales and available listings have dropped by a significant amount from this time last year. The low inventory of homes and the continued strong demand from buyers have kept the median sales price consistent. The good news for buyers is that houses are staying on the market longer this year as compared to this time last year (on average 18 days in April 2023.) The extra days on the market give buyers the opportunity to consider their options and negotiate with sellers. To read more about the Northern Virginia real estate market click here.
